Bundaberg and STanthorpe

Hey friends, so sorry i've been major slacking.
So since our wonderful trip to Magnetic Island we've had some very difficult times.
From the time we got back to Townsville and were on our way to Brisbane we found out only Chelle had a job in STanthorpe not me so as you all know we got split up for a few days which sucked terribly. I stayed one night in Brisbane by myself and then headed to a place called Bundaberg to stay at a hostel that said would find me work. So i arrived there paid an arm and a leg to stay there, and then stayed 3 days in misery, with no one to talk to (b/c everyone pretty much spoke a different language, and they weren't that nice there) and staying at a dirty, loud hostel. So i spent a lot of time upset and crying and calling chelle and calling her boss and looking for work somewhere else all the while not gettinga ny work while i stayed in Bundaberg. The only nice thing that happened there was the scenery was pretty and i found a random little zoo with a wallaby and finally saw a marsupial with a baby in its pouch :)
So after 3 days of basically Hell (wasn't good), I got a call from chelle telling me her boss had a job for me and i had to get there and start work the next day so i spent a bit of money to get to chelle that day but i did it and arrived at like 11pm at night then had to work at 7am the next morning, but i was just happy to be back with Chelle.
So the work we were doing was pruning trees which wasn't super hard it just hurt my back and my wrists alot but i was very thankful we had air snips and not just hand snips lol. AND right away when i got there everyone was sooo nice, people introduced themselves and we all had work to talk about and I've met alot of irish people now lol. and one very cute german girl named Stef who chelle and I got pretty close to while she was there. We had fun while we were there but if it wasn't for the people there then we would have had a really horrible time. It was cold there and there wasn't much to do in such a small very hick town.
The one supervisor at our work had no teeth we called him TA (toothless Allan) hahahah he was a jerk so i'm glad were finally away from him. But we met so many new people, including a wonderful and super sweet 30 year old girl from Ireland named Trish, and we met a guy from Finland named Alex who was in our room and he was absoloutley hilarious, including thinking that my bra under my bed was a swine flu mask for a really big person (HAHAHAHAHA). But yea the people made the time go by pretty fast. We've had some good memories from STanthorpe including how to say the name of hte town in an Aussie accent to order pizza and having our boss at work say Rightio all the time lol. Also all the animals there the dog at hte farm the dogs at the hostel and the cat i nicknamed polka dot who on my last day there i found out was a boy when i thought it was a girl the whole time, lol.
I also got hooked on aussie soaps while we were there b/c every night we would cook int he kitchen where there was a tv then we would sit down to eat while watching simpsons at 6pm , neighbours at 6:30 and then home and away at 7 lol. We also had tv's in our room which was nice so we watched alot of tv and alot of movies and i also got hoooked on the tv show lost but i'm only on first season so don't tell me antying to spoil it. lol

So we are finally out of Stanthorpe after 4 weeks and making about 1,000 dollars which is nice, but it was def time to go. WE left on thur morning and got to Brisbane that afternoon. Trish and our english friend Fay from work came with us to Brissie so were all at the same hostel and FAy is leaving tomm, as well as chelle trish and I are flying out tomm but Trish is going to Sydney and Fay is getting a ride to Cairns in a car.
I'm so excited to go to Cairns, we booked our bus all the way back down to Sydney too so tha'ts all set. But were going to Cairns and were going to go snorkelling on the great barrier reef which i'm super excited about! HOpefully were going to get a underwater cam to take amazing pics and yes i will try to find nemo.
Then were going to do the whitsunday and fraser islands which are must see's for the east coast of Oz so i'm pretty excited about those. Then were stopping off on various small places on the way back to Sydney and we'll arrive there on the 22nd of August and finally get to see Amber and Bonnie again who have rented a nice little flat so we don't have to spend much accomodation when we get back to Sydney.
WE'll be there for about 2 weeks then come home to Canada. I wish we could meet up with our fab 5 again but the boys went back home to england, sadly :( maybe someday we can have a reunion cuz we had such a good time all together.
But i'm so glad we came here, i've had amazing experiences and some bad ones but you learn from everything that happens and I sure have and I have so many stories and wonderful pics and memories to share with all of you when we get back.
