Soooooo hello everyone, i know you are all anxious to hear how Michelle and I are doing and lets just say it has been a long, tiring day.
We got to buffalo everything was fine there, cept when we went through security they were suspicious of my one liquid in my carry on cuz it was not in the original bottle but it was fine but then my flip flops didn't come back out the belt thing and they got stuck inside lol so i was waiting for my shoes!
My bag was not overweight which i was worried about so that was good news!
So we find our gate sit down and relax and then a bunch of boys come to our boarding gate and they all had matching bags and official looking envelopes so we quickly realized they were army boys going to their bases to start training! There also was another girl from Canada happened to be Hamilton who was on our plane so we got talking to her then the soldiers started talking to us and we had a whole conversation for like 45 minutes about the use of the word eh! lol it was quite entertaining!
And I have a joke to share with you all courtesy of a very cute 23 year old American soldier!
Joke: "What are the sexiest animals on the farm?
Answer: "Brown chicken brown cow (say it really fast and it sounds like bowchickawowow) you know , lol... well maybe you had to be there but it was funny!
So our flight to WAshington was delayed almost 2 hours cuz of Air traffic control not letting us fly so therefore we missed our connecting flight in Washington to LA so we were not happy campers.
One good thing though is that our bags are not to be worried about till we get to Sydeny they automatically go where we go so that is nice , one less hassle.
So at WAshington we stood in 2 customer service lines for a total of 3 hours to get our flights figured out so we could get to LA tonight. So he got us to LA tonight but we have to wait a whole day to get to Sydney now so were a whole 24 hours behind schedule and will arrive in Sydney on Sat morning not fri morning as originally planned.
So now we are sitting in a hotel room in LA for the night planning what we are going to go see on our little day trip tommorrow since our flight doesn't leave till 10:45 pm!
and i saw my first palm tree, so even though it was very frustrating that all those delays happened and stuff, everything happens for a reason and now we get to spend a whole day in LA!!!
So we will head on to Sydney tomm night/tonight since i'm writing this at almost 2am california time lol.
2 other funny things:
1) when we were waiting for our flight in buffalo a lady (young lady not old) was reading a book titled and i kid you not! "how to raise earthworms for profit" baaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahah i laughed soo hard as did MIchelle!
2) when we were standing in our 2nd customer service line in Buffalo there was a lady that arrived and she was holding a bag that said Human Bone Marrow so we thought that was just something neat.
We are writing stuff down as it happens so we can remember to tell you guys about it later!
All in all it was a very frustrating day but it turned out to be not that bad, and hey its all part of the adventure!!!!!!!!!
Sydney tomm baby!!!
<3
love you all!

The Pre Adventure Post
Hey y'all
So i made this blog so that you guys can easily find out what we are doing when we are in Australia! I will try to keep this updated as much as possible so if i don't chat with you guys or can't answer emails sometimes then you can come on here and see how i am doing! I'm sure i will be posting some pics on here as well as on facebook so please enjoy this blog while Michelle and I are away!!!!
We are leaving in 8 days on May 27th around 2pm our first flight takes off and we have a few stops on the way but once we hit L.A. it will be a straight 14 hour flight to Sydney! whew that will be a long ride...we will arrive in Sydney on the 29th of May at 6:10am!!!!! then we have to try to stay awake all day in order to beat the jet lag!
We will be staying at a hostel right on Coogee beach in Sydney called Surfside Backpackers Hostel!!!!
we are going with a program called Ozintro and for a price we get a week jam packed full of fun and adventure including going to the zoo, on a hike through blue mountains and touring sydney harbour (where the opera house is) on a jet boat!!!!!! As well as meet up with amazing new friends we will make ( who all happen to be from the UK, lol).
We are planning on staying with a friend of Michelle's that Sat and attend Hillsongs Church in Sydney on the sunday which I am super pumped for (for those of you who do not know this is the church that the worship team Hillsongs United comes from).
The people we are going with we have mostly all been in touch with and it seems like a very fun and friendly group of people!!!!!! I'm excited to meet them and to have our week of fun together!
There are 5 guys and the rest of the 11 are girls!
We have recieved a working holiday visa so during our time in Sydney and the various other cities we travel to we will also be working so we can afford to travel around!
If you want to know more about our program check out www.ozintro.com
So all i have left to do is tie up some loose ends and start packing! I'm only brining one big bag to check and then carry on's of course but i have to fit everything in one bag so that will be a challenge!
I ask for those of you who do so, that you will pray for our travels there, that we may remember that God is guiding us and that we will not try to take matters into our own hands. Help us to follow him and renew and strength and our relationship with Him as an outcome of this trip!
I am going to miss all of you andi hope you all will have amazing summers!
don't be too jealous of my adventure, it will be like you are there with me!
Thanks for the prayers and for the excitement you have for me and this adventure i am setting out on!
love always
